Factors Affecting Return on Assets (ROA) in the Banking Sector of Selected Arab Countries: Is There a Role for Financial Inclusion and Technology Indicators?

The objective of this study is to examine, using a dynamic panel data framework, the effects financial inclusion on performance banking sector, as measured by return assets, for eleven Arab countries during period 2012-2019. In addition and technologies indicators, our analysis incorporates macroeconomic variables. reveals that bank-specific variables have greater impact profitability banks than results show there positive significant bank’s bank solvency, credit growth, economic growth rate, inflation rate sector. However, assets unaffected fluctuations in nonperforming loans interbank lending rate. Regarding indicators technologies, finds no evidence automated teller machines (ATM) distribution branch density assets.
